Alex Lochhead Lic.Ac., B.A. (Hons), B.Sc. (Hons), MSc, MBAcC
Alex qualified in Five Element acupuncture at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Warwick where the degree course is affiliated to Oxford Brookes University.
Alex has worked in environmental education and social policy in the public sector in Cornwall. His interest in the natural world led him to seek a new career in Five Element Acupuncture because of its strong affinity with the natural cycles found within the body and mind. Sylvia Schroer PhD, MSc, BSc (Hons), Lic Ac, ATCM (Full Member)
Sylvia’s interest in Chinese medicine began more than 25 years ago when she saw how a close friend responded to treatment for depression. Sylvia studied acupuncture at the College of Traditional Acupuncture qualifying in 1992 and subsequently undertook further training in China, Vietnam and, more recently, Japan. She completed a Kanpo Chinese herbal medicine training in 1996 and was one of the first UK practitioners to qualify in Toyohari acupuncture in 2001. Sylvia gained an MSc in complementary therapy studies from the University of Westminster and moved to York in 2003 to undertake a PhD in health sciences at the University of York, completing her doctorate in 2009. Sylvia is passionately interested in health and healing and is delighted to be returning to clinical work at York Natural Health
